The window structure for all windows were tall and narrow which presented some challenges. However, our attention to detail and meticulous approach ensured a successful installation.
One issue we encountered was that the window frame split in two, the client preferred to have a single shade instead of multiple ones. To accommodate this, we had to reverse roll the shades and position them as close to the front of the window as possible. Additionally, we installed a fascia to create a clean front and give the illusion that the shade is inside a pocket. We also took great care to ensure that the shades were properly leveled and made sure all shades rolled up straight.
Steaming the curtains took a considerable amount of time and patience, but we were able to successfully complete the installation. The clients were extremely satisfied with the end result.
When installing hardware, we utilized black idle pins and clutches. As for the brackets, we had to get creative and went ahead and spray painted brackets brown. All this allowed hardware to blend seamlessly with the windows and maintain the room’s original aesthetic
The client had previously purchased these shades for their former apartment. After approximately a year, they relocated to a new unit, and we successfully retrofitted the existing shades into their new apartment.
We carefully trimmed off approximately 3/8 inch (total) from the dust board to ensure a proper fit. With this modification, we were able to successfully install inside mount Roman shades.
